The History

  A short time after opening his restaurant Bistro Jeanty in 1998, Philippe Jeanty realized that the Bistro had become a lifestyle.  He used “Bistro People” as an expression to describe his loyal following of guests that continuously returned to dine at the Bistro.  

  By successfully sharing the Bistro lifestyle and the French culture with those that love it as much as Philippe, he was able to use the expression “Bistro People” as an opportunity to continue the growth of the concept.

The Concept

   Years later, Philippe opened Jeanty at Jack’s in San Francisco and Pere Jeanty in Yountville.  With both restaurants successful as the first, Philippe decided to expand the Bistro lifestyle and promote the dining experience under the Bistro People name by offering semi private and private dining for social gatherings, corporate events, business meetings and tour groups in each restaurant.
